Eastern honey buzzards are also known as crested or oriental honey buzzards. They migrate from regions such as Eastern Russia to Southeast Asia during winter. Although a specialist feeder of wasp larvae, their diet also includes combs, pupae and adults of wasps, bees and hornets.

In January this year, an eastern honey buzzard was found along a local beach. It as after diagnosed with crop statis, caused by consuming cooked food. A team of vets and keepers from Jurong Bird Park rescued, treated and rehabilitated the bird.

Wildlife Reserves Singapore consisting of Jurong Bird Park, Night Safari, Singapore Zoo and the upcoming River Safari, are designated rescued wildlife centres. Over the last three decades, WRS parks have collectively cared for and rescued more than 10,000 animals.

Question:
