TTS Carcare have invited me to try out their premium car grooming at TTS Centre, Sin Ming Drive. This place is easily located beside Comfort Transportation Building at the FIAT showroom.
An impressively spacious workshop greeted me as I drove in.
After talking to Fan Hua, Manager of the CarCare operations, I was seated comfortably at their cosy customer lounge. The modest but adequate lounge was equipped with 3 sofas, TV, WIFI, lotsa car magazines, water cooler, and even a table soccer! The car magazines needed to be worked upon though as most of them were quite outdated.
The 3-hour premium grooming session is comprised of a 12-step process using 3M professional products:
1. Manual Handwash
2. Degreasing
3. Clay Cleaning
4. Tyre Shine
5. Detailed Waxing
6. Glass Cleaning (Interior & Exterior)
7. Interior Vacuuming
8. Rubber Treatment
9. Heavy-duty Wheel Cleaning
10. Polishing
11. Machine Glazing
12. Engine Bay Detailing
CarCare dedicated detailers at work using 3M products. I am a supporter of 3M car detailing products as I find them more lasting than the other products that I have tried in the past.
Every corner of my car was taken care of. Oh, and I absolutely loved that vacuum cleaner. It kinda reminded me of Xiao DD, a children show screened in the early 80s under Singapore Broadcasting Corporation.
Here's the results of the grooming session. Pardon me for the quality of the pics as they were taken with an iPhone. Other than the deep scratches and dents acquired during my 5 years of ownership, my ride was almost restored to showroom condition!
There used to be a bird's poo stain on my bonnet and it's gone.
The roof has weathered through years of harsh sunshine and rain and was peppered with watermarks and stains. Almost 90% of those stains were gone. The rest were properly etched too deep into the paintwork to be removed.
The engine bay, an area that I wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole due to its greasiness, was now looking pretty after a facial.
Even the interior was taken care of by meticulous cleaning and vacuuming.
The rims and tires were smiling after months of grim and grease were removed.
Side views of my gleaming ride, though I must admit my camera didn't do justice to the work done.
Look mom! I can see the clouds on my bonnet!
